Montreal police responded to the report of an injured man near the coroner of Bégin Street and Côte-Vertu Boulevard West on December 13th at approximately 1:00pm.

On arrival police located a man in his 40’s suffering from injuries to his upper body. Police believe he was injured by a sharp object. Despite life-saving efforts the victim who has been identified as Dantes Tolentino Villanueva, died of his injuries.

Bernie Romantico, 53, has been charged with second-degree murder.
