Update: Mohamed Hassan found dead on a walking path behind Samuel Genest High School in Ottawa’s east end

Ottawa police responded to the report of a deceased man who was found by three people who were walking behind Samuel Genest High School on July 27th at approximately 5:15 pm.

The deceased has been identified as Mohamed Hassan, 21, of Ottawa. Police have not released the cause of death at this time.

Update September 14th
Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit, with the assistance of the North Bay Police Service, arrested and a 17-year-old girl on September 12th, and charged her with first-degree murder in the death of Mohamed Hassan.

A Canada wide warrant for the arrest of Jeffrey DONDJI, 21 years old of Ottawa. He is described as a black male, 6’2” (188 cm), 195 lbs (88 kg), with a prominent scar above the left side of his lip. Police believe he may be in Northern Ontario. Update December 10th
Service de police de la Ville de Montréal arrested 21-year-old Jeffrey Dondji on December 8th while investigating an unrelated criminal investigation. Dondji was arrested for First-Degree Murder in the death of Mohamed Hassan.
