Ontario Provincial Police said William Schernhammer’s body was found in the area off the 25th Sideroad on Jan. 21, west of Barrie. Schernhammer has been reported missing to OPP officers in Nottawasaga after he did not return home on Jan 12.

According to reports Schernhammer had left the home he shared with his girlfriend in Alliston Ontario to go get cigarettes with his friend, Gabriel DiCecco.

On January 21, Gabriel DiCecco, from Adjala-Tosorontio, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code for obstructing a peace officer and indignity to a dead body. On February 1st police added a new charge of first degree murder.
