Edmonton police responded to the area of 48 Street and 21 Avenue on the report of gunshots on March 5th at approximately 10:55pm.

On arrival, officers located Keithkarn Mander, 22, suffering from critical injuries. He was transported to hospital by where he was later pronounced deceased. 

At approximately 11:30 p.m., police responded to the area of 199 Street and 21 Avenue in regards to a vehicle fire. Officers located an SUV engulfed in flames. Investigators believe the SUV is connected to the death of Mander. 

An autopsy was conducted and the Edmonton Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be gunshot wounds and confirmed the manner of death to be homicide.
