St. Stephen RCMP responded to a report of an unresponsive male at a residence on Ross Avenue on September 15th at approximately 3:00am.
Police arrived to find the body of Christopher Hanley, 25, from St. Stephen in a residence. An autopsy was conducted and determined the death to be a homicide.
Police have not released any details surrounding the death and have not named any suspects, only saying police believe this to be an isolated incident and the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area between midnight and 4 a.m. on September 15, is asked to contact the Major Crime Unit at 1-888-506-RCMP (7267).
