Calgary police were called to the report of gunshots in the 0-100 block of Radcliffe Close S.E., at approximately 1:30 p.m on April 1st.

Emergency crews arrived to find a man in life-threatening condition and he died shortly afterward.

Anyone with information about this suspicious death is asked to contact the police non-emergency number at 403-266-1234. Information will me updated as it becomes available.

Update April 6th
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, confirmed the victim ID as 39-year-old Jamie O’LEARY, of Calgary. As a result of the investigation Tarek Che SHARPLES, 39, of Calgary has now been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the death. Police said the victim and accused were known to each other.
