Calgary police were called to a residence located in the 1900 block of Cottonwood Crescent S.E., for reports of a man in medical distress on July 8th at approximately 3:00am.

Police and paramedics arrived to find 55-year-old Kevin Allen Honish suffering from injuries believed to be consistent with an assault. Honish was taken to hospital where he died as a result of his injuries on July 16th.

Update August 8th
Calgary police announced that they have arrested Collin Dean OXTOBY, 48, of Calgary, and charged him with second-degree murder in relation to the death of Honish.

OXTOBY will next appear in court on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022.

No arrests have been made and there is no suspect information at this time. Anyone with information about the incident to contact police by calling 403-266-1234.
