Toronto Homicide #39 – Police investigate the fatal downtown shooting of Pardeep Brar

Toronto police responded to the report of a shooting at 647 King Street West on July 17th at approximately 3:33am.

On arrival police located a 24-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man who had been shot inside a nightclub. Both victims were rushed to hospital where Pardeep Brar, 26, of Brampton died of his injuries. The female victim has since been released.

TPS said there is no suspect information at this time, and ask any witnesses who were in the nightclub at the time of the shooting, or anyone with information or video of the shooting is asked to contact police at 416-808-7400, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), or at www.222tips.com.

Update August 22nd
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a man wanted in this homicide investigation.

Abdirahman Jimale, 26 of Toronto, is wanted for:

  1. First Degree Murder 
  2. Attempt Murder 
  3. Aggravated Assault

He is considered armed, violent and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.
