Brian McLeod charged with the murder of Sharon Littlewolf in Margo Saskatchewan

Wadena RCMP received a report of an assault in Margo, SK at approximately 11:20pm on December 24th.

Police located an injured adult female and infant. The adult female was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious and the infant was transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. As a result of the investigation, police then attended an adjacent residence and located 51-year-old Sharon Littlewolfe from Margo, SK. deceased.

Investigators determined an adult male had injured all three victims, and stole a vehicle from a nearby residence. 

At 1:10am on December 25th, Tisdale RCMP received a report of an assault at a rural residence near Tisdale. The investigation determined Brian McLeod approached a home requesting assistance for a stuck vehicle, and proceeded to assault the homeowner who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, 56-year-old Brian McLeod of Lloydminster has been charged with:

  • one count, second degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code
  • one count, attempted murder, Section 239(1)(b), Criminal Code
  • two counts, aggravated assault, Section 268, Criminal Code
  • one count, possession of property obtained by crime, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code
