Thunder Bay police responded to the report of an injured man at an address on Valhalla Inn Road at about 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, February 11.

EMS transported the male to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with serious injuries. The victim, identified as Cayden CARFRAE, 24, of Winnipeg, later died in hospital.

Andrei SAVU, 35, of Montreal, he was initially charged with aggravated assault, however, following his court apearance, the charge was upgraded to manslaughter.
