Two teens charged, one outstanding – 16-year-old Jannai Dopwell-Bailey fatally stabbed outside Mile End high school in Montreal

Montreal police were called to an altercation involving a group of teens outside Mile End high school near the intersection of  Van Horne Avenue and Victoria on October 18th at approximately 3:00pm.

Police arrived to find a 16-year-old boy who was stabbed in the upper body who went to the school to ask for help. Jannai Dopwell-Bailey was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police are searching for three teenage boys aged 16 to 18 who fled the scene.

Update November 28th
Montreal police arrested Andrei Donet,18, who appeared November 26th at the Montreal Courthouse. Donet is facing several charges including second-degree murder.

The first suspect, a 16-ear-old was arrested and charged on Oct. 22. The minor appeared in youth court to face a second-degree murder charge. Police are still searching for the thirs suspect.
