On July 7, 2026, Kelowna RCMP officers were called to the 800-block of Baillie Avenue following a report of suspicious circumstances.

When officers arrived, they found the body of a woman in the back of a vehicle. Investigators determined that the circumstances surrounding her death were suspicious.

A man who was known to the victim was arrested at the scene. He has since been released under several reporting conditions.

The Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit is leading the investigation and continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
