After arresting two individuals, Windsor Police are now searching for a third suspect in connection with the death of 37-year-old David Pavao, who was last seen in the early hours of August 14, 2025.

The third suspect, known only as “Colin,” is wanted for his involvement in Pavao’s murder. He is described as a white male in his late 20s, about 5’10” tall, and has a flower or rose tattoo on the back of his hand. Police believe he frequents Windsor’s west end and downtown areas.

Police noted that even though Pavao’s body has not yet been found, investigators from the Major Crimes Unit have concluded that he was killed on or around August 14. Their investigation led to the arrest of two suspects: 54-year-old Shane Ladouceur, who was charged on October 15 with first-degree murder and indecent interference with a dead body, and 49-year-old Marie Christine Hannah, who was charged as an accessory after the fact and for the same interference charge.

Update: Human remains were discovered by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in the region of Bourkes Road, south of the Township of Black River‑Matheson in Northern Ontario.

Windsor police and OPP have confirmed the remains are connected to the disappearance and murder of 37-year-old David Pavao.

On October 20, 2025, around 4:30 p.m., officers arrested 61-year-old Ronald Holman at a home in the 1000 block of Felix Avenue. He is facing charges of being an accessory after the fact to murder and for improper handling of a deceased body.

Police have also issued a warrant for 40-year-old Jason Vincent Smith on the same charges. Smith is described as approximately 6’0” tall and 180 lbs, with a light complexion, medium build, brown hair, and hazel eyes.

Investigators also continue to search for a man known only as “Colin.” Colin is described as a white male in his late 20s, approximately 5’10” tall, with a flower or rose tattoo on the back of his hand. He is known to frequent Windsor’s west end and downtown areas.

On October 23, 2025, shortly after 3 p.m., officers located and arrested 27-year-old Colin Lusk in the 3300 block of Sandwich Street. Lusk has been charged with first degree murder and indecent interference with a deceased body.

Update: on October 31, 2025, members of the Windsor Police Emergency Services Unit in collaboration with the OPP-led Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad (ROPE), located and arrested Jason Vincent Smith at a residence in the 1600 block of Drouillard Road.

Smith has been charged with:

• Accessory after the fact to murder
• Indecent interference with a deceased body
• Mischief under $5,000
• Failure to comply with a release order

The investigation remains ongoing.

On January 26th 2026 Windsor Police Service confirmed that the human remains located in northern Ontario in October have now been identified as those of 37-year-old David Pavao.
