 Chilliwack RCMP responded to the 46200-block Yale Rd in Chilliwack on December 27th at approximately 12:54am on the report of an altercation.

Emergency crews arrived to find 45-year-old Carlton Leith suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died a few days later.

Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said in a January 12th release that 42-year-old William Trevor Escott has been charged with manslaughter in relation to the death. police said it was an isolated incident with no connections to other recent acts of violence.
