Victoria police investigating the city’s latest homicide

Victoria police responded to an apartment building in the 3000 block of Douglas Street for reports of an injured man who had been assaulted with a weapon on March 16th at approximately 2:30pm.

Police said the victim was sent to hospital where he remained in serious condition. On March 18th Patrol located and arrested the suspect in the 3100-block of Douglas Street.  The victim died from his injuries in hospital on March 25th.

Investigators believe that the victim and the suspect were known to each other and that this was an isolated incident. No other information is available at this time.
