Victoria BC police deem the death of Bree Sara Gamble at Beacon Hill Park a homicide

Victoria police were called to the south side of Beacon Hill Park, along Dallas Road, for a report of an unresponsive woman on March 3rd at approximately 6:00am.

Police and paramedics located the woman, however, despite life saving efforts the victim was pronounced at the scene. Police have not released the identity of the victim however her family has identified her as Bree Sara Gamble, 47 (Brianna Lozano on social media).

Her father told Timescolonist.com that his daughter was neither homeless nor a drug addict. “She was an artist and always had the most beautiful and clean home you would ever enter.” he also stated “She wasn’t hanging out in Beacon Hill Park in a tent. She was murdered. Somebody murdered her and dumped her on the side of the road.”

Investigator determined the death to be a homicide and are asking anyone who was in the following areas between the hours of 11 p.m. on Tuesday March 2nd, and 5 a.m. on Wednesday March 3rd to please call the VIIMCU Information Line at (250) 380-6211:

  • Lower Cook Street near Beacon Hill Park
  • Lower Douglas Street near Beacon Hill Park
  • Dallas Road between Douglas Street and St Charles Street
  • The area of Fort Street and Foul Bay Road
