Update: Charges Laid – Two men dead in Mississauga stabbing – Police investigating the incident as a double homicide

Peel police responded to an apartment building at College Way and Glen Erin Road in Mississauga at approximately 1:00am on December 28th.

Police arrived to find 44-year-old Maxwell Charles from Mississauga and 29-year-old Jamal Holder outside the residence suffering from apparent stab wounds. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the other man was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police said the pair were known to each other but were not related. Investigators believe an altercation took place between the two men that escalated and resulted in the deaths. Police are investigating this incident as a double homicide.

On May 5, 2022, Peel police arrested 22-year-old Uneek Charles of Dundalk and charged with the following offences:

  • Second Degree Murder x2

On May 6, 2022, investigators arrested a 45-year-old Sandra Pereira of Dundalk and charged with the following offences:

  • Accessory to Murder After the Fact x2
