Toronto police responded to a shooting in the area of Danforth and Byron avenues on October 28th at approximately 3:15pm.

Police  arrived to find a man in his 30s unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim died at the scene of his injuries. The victim has been identified as Asadullah Ghani, 27, of Toronto.

This is an active and ongoing investigation. Investigators ask anyone who was in the area at the time, who witnessed the shooting, or who has dash-camera or security video to contact police.

Duty Insp. Lori Kranenburg said several males were seen in a grey or silver SUV, fleeing the area southbound. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), or at www.222tips.com.
