Toronto police  responded to a call for a medical complaint in the Thirty Ninth Street and James Street area on August 27th at approximately 6:07 am.

Police arrived to find Adrian Hurley, 23,  lying in the intersection with obvious signs of trauma, and he was pronounced deceased on scene.

An autopsy was completed and determined the cause of death to be a gunshot wound.

Anyone who lives or works in the area, who may have dash-cam or security camera footage, is asked to contact investigators at 416-808-7400.

Update September 26th
Toronto police arrested Zachary Barton, 36, of Toronto, on September 24th and charged him with First Degree Murder.
