Toronto police responded to a call for a shooting in the Mimico Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard West on September 15th at 8:23pm.
On arrival police found two injured men. Tenzin Rinchen, 19, of Toronto, was pronounced at the scene, and the second ma was rushed to hospital.
Update:
Nelson Okoth, 20, of Toronto was arrested on September 19, 2022, and charged with:
- Fail to Comply with Release Order
- Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Weapon
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device
- Possession of a Restriced Firearm with Ammunition
As a result of the ongoing homicide investigation, Toronto police announced on October 4th, that he was further charged with:
- Second Degree Murder
- Attempted Murder
