Halifax Police had responded to a call about a suspected overdose on November 10, 2024, at around 7:20 p.m. at a residence on Craigburn Drive in Dartmouth. When officers arrived, they found Darian Clayton-Fleet,18, deceased inside the home.

On April 21st 2025, at around 9:15 p.m., Halifax police officers from the Guns and Drug Unit, part of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, arrested 19-year-old Lance Kevin Rogers at a home in Dartmouth. He is set to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face charges of manslaughter and criminal negligence causing death, connected to the death of 18-year-old Darian Clayton-Fleet in November 2024.
