Manitoba 2026 Homicide Victim List

At approximately 2:20 a.m. on May 20, 2026, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing in an open area off Princeton Drive in Thompson.

Police say the male victim was taken to hospital following the incident but later died as a result of his injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing, with support from RCMP Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services.

On May 25, the ongoing investigation into the homicide of the 21-year-old male, from Leaf Rapids, led RCMP Major Crime Services to issue Warrants of Arrest out for 19-year-old Eternity Chastelaine, for Manslaughter, and a 17-year-old male, for Second degree murder.

On May 26, a Warrant of Arrest was also issued for 24-year-old Marshall Merasty, who has also been charged with Second degree murder.

On June 11, 2026, at approximately 11:35 pm, Thompson RCMP officers, who were patrolling in the area of Nickel Road, located and arrested the 17-year-old youth who was wanted for Second degree murder.
