The body of 2022 missing man 31-year-old Emad Ali was located in a wooded area in Sudbury – Charges Laid

Major Crime Section of the Sudbury Criminal Investigation Division located the body of 31-year-old Emad Ali in a wooded area off Dryden Road in Greater Sudbury on April 14th 2023. The Search and Rescue Team working in collaboration with North Shore Search and Rescue and GSPS and OPP K9 Units conducted an extensive ground search of the area.

The victim, 31-year-old Emad Ali (pictured) was last seen in the Greater Sudbury area between October and November of 2022.

Police said the investigation it is believed that Emad was murdered in November 2022 and his body was dumped in the wooded area.

As a result of the investigation, four people have been arrested and charged.

  • 33-year-old, Joel Roy has been charged with Murder, Indignity to Body, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.
  • 43-year-old, Kevin Lamoureaux has been charged with Murder and Indignity to Body.
  • 33-year-old, Joshua Lavallie has been charged with Indignity to Body and Accessory After the Fact to Murder.
  • 33-year-old, Michelle Zazulak has been charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder.
