16-year-old arrested in Toronto in relation to a fatal shooting at Overtime Sports Bar in Sudbury

Sudbury police were called to the report of a shooting at Overtime Sports Bar on Notre Dame Avenue on April 21st at 10:30 p.m.

On arrival police located a 22-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police said the suspect, a 16-year-old boy, fled the area prior to police arrival.

On April 29th the Toronto Police Service arrested the 16-year-old suspect in relation to the Sudbury homicide. The youth has been charged with

  • Murder
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Carrying concealed weapon
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
  • Possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number
