Vernon North Okanagan RCMP responded to assist BC paramedics who had responded to a report of an unconscious person in the 3300-block of 32nd Avenue in Vernon on January 5th at approximately 2:00am.
RCMP said the person was deceased prior to paramedics arrival, and initial assessment of the victim’s injuries indicated the death to be suspicious.
On January 14th RCMP announced that findings of an autopsy has confirmed the person’s death to be the result of homicide. The cause of death and identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
Anyone who was in the area between 1:30 a.m., and 2 a.m., on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022, and witnessed anything suspicious or have information related to the incident, is asked to contact the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at (250) 545-7171.
