Quebec 2026 Homicide Victim List

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is investigating a homicide after the death of a man in his 60s in Maniwaki, Quebec.

At approximately 6 p.m. Monday, officers from the MRC de La Vallée-de-la-Gatineau SQ detachment responded to an apartment on Notre-Dame Street, where they found an injured and unconscious man. The victim had suffered significant injuries and was transported to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

SQ spokesperson Sgt. Marc Tessier confirmed the death was being treated as suspicious.

The investigation has since been upgraded to a homicide case. Police have not made any arrests and have not released information about possible suspects.

A scene examination and autopsy are scheduled as part of the ongoing investigation. The victim’s identity has not been released.
