Grande Prairie Police responded to an assault complaint on May 11th. Sherra Eckert told police that she needed medical attention and that she was assaulted by a woman named Barb the night before.

Eckert passed away on May 13th. Barb Wright of Grande Prairie has been charged with one count of Manslaughter.

An Autopsy is scheduled for May 17th to determine the cause of her death.
