The 2024 Saskatchewan Homicide Victim List is available here

Loon Lake RCMP received a report of a serious assault that occurred at a residence on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation, SK on September 23, 2024 at approximately 9:00 a.m.

Officers responded along with EMS and located 35-year-old Shoshone Morningchild, injured outside the residence. He was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Anyone with information regarding the assault is asked to report it to the Saskatchewan RCMP at 310-RCMP or to their local police service.
