RCMP investigate the murder of a man in Pine Creek First Nation

Winnipegosis RCMP responded to a report of a male having been stabbed at a residence located on the Pine Creek First Nation on June 23rd at 9:05pm.

Police arrived to find a 51-year-old male with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

A 40-year-old woman was taken into custody while Winnipegosis RCMP, along with Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services, continues to investigate.

Update July 28th
Major Crime Services arrested and charged 40-year-old Sheryl Leeann Thompson with Second Degree Murder on July 25th. She was remanded into custody and appeared in court in Dauphin on July 26, 2022.
