Police investigating the homicide of Edi Bogere-Nyigwo in Maple Ridge

Integrated Homicide Investigation Team reported that the body of 24-year-old Edi Bogere-Nyigwo was found in a vacant forested property in the 24500-block of Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge on January 11th. His death is being investigated as a homicide.

.Bogere-Nyigwo was last seen leaving his Coquitlam home at 7 p.m. on December 27, 2019. Police said there isn’t any indication, at this point, to suggest the homicide is linked to any gang conflict. “Edi was a talented soccer player and a member of Coquitlam’s Sparta SC U-18 squad that won the Canadian National Championship. His friends describe him as someone who avoided trouble and many are wondering why anyone would harm him” says Sergeant Frank Jang of IHIT.
