Rainy River OPP was contacted by the Treaty Three Police regarding an assault with a weapon on Couchiching First Nation on Christmas day.

Police arrived to find 3 injured people with minor injuries and 41-year-old Randall Morrison. He was rushed to the hospital where he died of his injuries. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
