Jayden Prasad is dead and one was injured in a targeted Surrey BC shooting

Surrey RCMP say they were called to a shooting in a parking lot in the 14800-block of 108 Avenue on May 2nd at approximately 8:00pm.

Police and paramedics located two men suffering from gunshot injuries. Both men were rushed to hospital where Jayden Prasad died of his injuries. The second victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with the Surrey RCMP. Police are currently in the evidence-gathering phase, but said Initial information suggests that this was a targeted incident with ties to the BC Gang Conflict. A possible suspect vehicle was located a short time later in Langley, with indications that an attempt was made to light it on fire.
