Montreal, Quebec 2026 Homicide Victim List

A 30-year-old man has died following a stabbing during a confrontation involving several people near Mount Royal on Sunday evening, marking Montreal’s eighth homicide of the year.

According to the Montreal Police Service, officers responded to a 911 call around 5:10 p.m. about the incident on du Parc Avenue, close to de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine Road. The victim suffered serious injuries to his upper body caused by a sharp object and was later pronounced dead in hospital.

Police say a 58-year-old man was arrested nearby and is expected to be questioned by investigators to determine his role in what happened.

At this stage, authorities have not confirmed what led to the altercation, and the investigation is ongoing.
