The 2023 Ontario Homicide Victim List is available here

Durham Region Police responded to a residence on Allbright Road in Uxbridge for a disturbance on January 12th at approximately 8:55am.

On arrival police located John Genereux, 66, of Uxbridge suffering from serious stabbing injuries.  He was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he died on January 16th.

Matthew LAVIS, 37, of Uxbridge, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with Second Degree Murder.
