The 2023 Ontario Homicide Victim List is available here

Durham Region Police responded to a check on wellbeing at a home on Drew Street in Oshawa on January 27th at approximately 9:45 a.m.

Police arrived to find the victim without vital signs and suffering from significant trauma. He was pronounced deceased. His identity and cause of death have not been released. Investigators are waiting for the completion of the post-mortem examination prior to the release of his information.

As a result of the investigation Justin STEEVES, age 32 of Oshawa is charged with First Degree Murder.
