Murder charge dropped against Al Hayawi – Malique Calloo arrested in a Detroit suburb in relation to the murder of Daniel Squalls, in Windsor Ontario

Windsor Ontario police responded to a shooting in the 800 block of Hanna Street East on November 28th, just before 6:00pm.

On arrival police located Daniel Squalls, 24, suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Al Hayawi, 26, was arrested a few days later, and charged with murder.

Malique Calloo, 26, of Windsor, is wanted for first-degree murder. He is considered armed and dangerous and shouldn’t be approached directly. Anyone who sees the suspect should call 911.

Update July 13th
The Murder charge against Hayawi has been dropped. According to Canada .com “After scouring “countless surveillance videos” connected to the investigation, Al Hayawi’s lawyer Robert Dipietro Jr. told the Star that police and prosecutors determined his client was not at the scene of the fatal shooting that night”

Investigators continue to search for the alleged shooter, Malique Calloo, who is #14 on the Bolo Program.

Update July 25th
Malique Calloo, 27, was captured Sunday July 23rd at around 11 a.m. by U.S. Marshals in a Detroit suburb. Calloo appeared in a U.S. court Monday to be arraigned.
