Regina police were dispatched to a call for service at a residence on the 1000 block of King Street on August 23rd at approximately 10:00pm.

Police entered and apprehended the male. Police then located an unresponsive adult female who EMS declared deceased at the scene. She has been identified as Amber Dawn Robson, 37.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Regina police said thirty-nine-year-old Kristopher Kyle SOBY, of Regina, has been charged with second-degree murder.

Update: Kristopher Kyle SOBY pleaded guilty to manslaughter in front of a judge on January 10th 2025. According to CTV News “Soby stabbed Robson multiple times after a mushroom-induced psychosis was triggered. Soby also stabbed himself in the neck that evening…”
