Kingston police charge Daniel BERNDT in relation to the homicide of 88-year-old Jahzerah Berndt

Kingston police have announced that a homicide investigation has been launched after the body of 88-year-old Jahzerah Berndt was located at a residential property in the 2100 block of McKendry Road, where he lived alone, on November 15th.

Update November 20th
On November 17th, police executed a search warrant on the residence of a male in the 300-block of Front Street in Belleville where they arrested 55-year-old Daniel BERNDT and charged him with the following:

  1. Second-degree murder,
  2. Carrying a weapon during the commission of an offence, and
  3. Breach of probation.
