Jennifer Quesnel is the victim of a murder-suicide on Salt Spring Island BC

Salt Spring RCMP were called to a home on Fulford Ganges Road on June 1st at approximately 5:00pm . Police did not say who made the call for assistance.

Jennifer Quesnel, 41, was found shot according to her family, and died on the way to the hospital. Her husband, 48-year-old John Quesnel, who she just recently left, was found dead at the same home.

In a statement released to the media, the Quesnel’s family said that Jennifer had recently left an abusive 18-year-marriage. She had gone to the family home to pick up her belongings when she was shot twice by John before he turned the gun on himself.

The B.C. woman leaves behind three sons, Jake, Dan and John Jr. All money raised through the GoFundMe campaign will be used to support Quesnel’s children.
