Edmonton police responded to report of a stabbing in the area of 118 Avenue and 80 Street on January 15th at 8:30pm.
Jarvis Katz, 28, was found at the scene suffering from a stab wound. Katz was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries on January 17th.

Update April 11th
Edmonton police arrested Douglas Ronald Hecht, 34, on April 7th in downtown Edmonton. Hecht has been charged with second degree murder and possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public.
Update May 3rd
On April 20th, Edmonton police arrested and charged Jonathan Sidney Burd, 48, with second degree murder, possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public, and two breaches of probation.
On April 30th, EPS Arrested and charged Alexandra Friesen, 27, with robbery and assault causing bodily harm against another individual who was also present in the home at the time of the incident.
