Terrebonne Police responded to several reports of a shooting at a home on du Général Street on October 18th at approximately 10:15am.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Gaétan Sévigny, 53, in front of the home with obvious injuries. SQ spokesperson Marie-Michelle Moore says the Terrebonne man was hit with at least one bullet. Sévigny was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

The SQ said they have reason to believe Sévigny’s death is linked to organized crime. No arrests have been made at this time and the murder is being investigated by the SQ’s organized crime division.
