Edmonton police responded to the report of a shooting in the area of Cavanagh Boulevard SW and Cherniak Way SW on Monday, Apr. 8, 2024, at 12:00 p.m.

Upon police located three injured males. EMS responded and declared two males, a 49-year-old and a 57-year-old deceased. A 51-year-old male was seriously injured and is currently in hospital with serious life-threatening injuries. One of the deceased was Buta Singh Gill, the owner of Gill Built Homes.

EPS Homicide Section has since taken over the investigation. Police are not looking for any suspects.
