Afonso Corpuz arrested – Toronto Homicide 19 – Police investigate the fatal stabbing of Jolly An in North York

police responded to a call for Echo-Tiered Response in the Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue area on April 6th at approximately 6:19am.

Police arrived to find Jolly An, 51, of Toronto, in front of a plaza, suffering from stabbing injuries from a sharp-edged weapon. Despite lifesaving efforts, An was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators are asking witnesses or anyone who was driving in the area at the time and has dash-camera or video surveillance to contact police.

Afonso Corpuz, 67, of Toronto, is wanted on a Warrant in the 1st Instance for:

  1. Second Degree Murder

Update: On Thursday, April 11, 2024, Alfonso Corpuz, 67, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

  1. Second Degree Murder
