Edmonton, Alberta 2026 Homicide Victim List
A homicide investigation has been launched after a man died from injuries sustained during an incident in northeast Edmonton early Wednesday morning.
At approximately 6 a.m. on June 10, 2026, police were in the area of 118 Avenue and 47 Street responding to an unrelated call when they became aware of a disturbance nearby.
Officers observed a seriously injured man exiting a residence, followed by another individual. Police and emergency medical personnel immediately provided lifesaving treatment before the injured man was transported to hospital. Despite those efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.
The second individual was taken into custody at the scene without incident. Investigators have confirmed that the deceased and the person arrested were known to each other.
The Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section has since taken over the investigation. Authorities have stated that they are not seeking any additional suspects in connection with the case.
Following an autopsy conducted on June 12, 2026, the victim was identified as 32-year-old Michael Joseph Conway. Medical examiners determined that he died from a stab wound, and his death was officially ruled a homicide.
Authorities have charged 36-year-old Alexandra Bachinsky with second-degree murder in connection with the incident.
Police confirmed that the accused and the victim were known to each other. The investigation remains ongoing.
