Punnichy RCMP responded to a report of an injured person at a residence on the Kawacatoose First Nation on November 26th.

On arrival police located Thomas Dustyhorn suffering from serious injuries. Dustyhorn was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries later that night.

As a result of the investigation, Eric Charles Favel who was at the residence at the time was arrested and charged with second degree murder.
