Calgary police investigate the homicide of David Bawden who fell from a vehicle at the intersection of Memorial Drive

Calgary police were called after a man was found dead after exiting a vehicle at the intersection of Memorial Drive and 36 Street N.E. on October 6th at approximately 8:50am.

Police and paramedics arrived to find David Bawden, 59, deceased. It is believed that the victim exited the vehicle, a 2019 to 2020 Volkswagen Jetta sedan, while the car was stopped at a red light. Police believe the vehicle had a “JESUS” bumper-sticker under the license plate.

Update October 9th
Calgary police arrested a man and a woman in relation to the murder of David Bawden, 59, of Calgary. The names of the suspects will be released if charges are formally laid. Police said the vehicle believed to be connected to this incident was located and seized on October 8th.
