Calgary police responded to the 300 block of Penswood Way S.E., for reports of a disturbance on Sept 29th at approximately 11:30 a.m.

On arrival officers located two people deceased.

It is still early in the investigation and no further information is available at this time. More information will be shared as it becomes available.

On October 2nd Calgary police announced that following autopsies, the suspicious deaths that occurred on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, have been deemed a murder-suicide.

Out of respect for the impacted family, and the privacy of a child who was believed to be present during the incident and who shares a surname, the identities of the individuals are not being released.

The child was unharmed and is being cared for by family.
