Brother and estranged wife charged with the murder of Brant Burke, in Point Grondine Reserve

Brant Burke, of Killarney, was found deceased on a trail in the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory on October 25th.

An investigation was launched by Wikwemikong Tribal Police, with the assistance of Nipissing West OPP, and lead to the arrest of two people.

 Police arrested Kerry Burke, age 58, of Killarney on November 24th and charged him with First Degree Murder. Kerry Burke is the brother of the deceased.

 Melissa Sheridan, 39, of Sudbury, Bran Burke’s estranged wife was arrested on November 25th and charged with First Degree Murder. Both Sheridan and Burke are scheduled to appear Ontario Court of Justice-Bail Court (video conferencing) on December 8, 2020 in Sudbury.
