Kativik Regional Police investigators said they discovered the body of a 29-year-old Amaruttaaq Weetaluktuk in a local home. Police said the home was not the residence of the victim. Weetaliktuk was reported missing by his family on May 7th.

Weetaluktuk’s body suffered signs of violence, however, his cause of death has not been released. On May 8th police arrested Peter Palliser in Inukjuak, and was formally charged with second-degree murder on May 11th.
