Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigates the homicide of a man in Saddle Lake Cree Nation

St. Paul RCMP received a report of a shooting at a residence on Saddle Lake Cree Nation on June 17th at 2:39 a.m.

On arrival police located a deceased male outside of the residence. Officers located two additional individuals with injuries who were transported to the hospital in stable condition. The victim’s identity has not been released at this time.

RCMP said they believe that all victims are related to the same targeted incident, and there is no ongoing risk to the public. RCMP have confirmed that this incident is unrelated to a separate major incident that occurred in the community that same morning.
